ONLINE TUTORIALS
Martin runs regular online tutorial sessions working around participants availabilities, the aim is to hold these on a monthly basis. This is a small, friendly group whose participants use the online tutorial sessions to share and discuss ideas, get tutor advice as required and receive feedback on projects currently on the go, or advice on starting points for one. The course runs via a combination of Google Meet and WhatsApp.
How does it work?
- The day starts at 10am with a meeting on Google Meet where we discuss everyone’s ideas and make plans for the day. Images to be used can be put on WhatsApp to be discussed. The meeting lasts for up to an hour depending on the number of participants.
- Once we finish on Google Meet, participants use WhatsApp to share images and comments and can contact me for tutorial advice via WhatsApp text, call or video call.
- There is a break from 12-1pm for lunch. Participants often put up images of work in progress on WhatsApp over lunch
- The session continues from 1pm on WhatsApp.
- At 2.45 we meet again on Google Meet to discuss how the session has gone and explore potential directions for further development in future. Again, the meeting lasts up to an hour, depending on the number taking part.
Participants benefit from peer and tutor support and a dedicated time and online space in which to develop and share their interests in art.
Please use the contact form to register an interest in participating. Numbers are limited in order to ensure all students are able to benefit fully from discussion and advice. Therefore, places will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
